Horgabost

The Horgabost campsite, whilst fairly basic, is a good base to explore the western coast of Harris - a very popular location which, for that reason, holds less appeal to me than the other islands.
I spent 5 nights at the Horgabost campsite and did a couple of walks around the peninsula from there, dropping down on to the small but beautiful beach at Traigh Iar and clambering over the rocks at the end of the beach.
Whilst quite a short walk, there is lots of interest with continuous views over to Taransay and then across to the hills of North Harris and Lewis. The first two images in the gallery below were taken on Traigh Iar, the third and fourth looking out across Traigh Niosaboist.
I also spent a very enjoyable evening with my cameras on the rocks below Talla na Mara. The best of those shots will be added to my main photography site in due course.
